Neither the motherboard nor the RAM is defective, most likely. Unfortunately I don't have either another motherboard with DDR5 support or other DDR5 RAM Modules at my disposal.įull Components list: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X | Asus Radeon RX 6950 XT | 32Gb Patriot Viper Venom 6200mhz | MSI Pro B650-P WIFI | Samsung 980 Pro 2 Tb M.2 Maybe someone here has any idea on how I can pin down which component is at fault.
My conclusion, as mentioned before, is that it is either the motherboard somehow causing these issues in dual channel mode or the RAM Modules not being able to work in dual channel mode for whatever reason. Using the system with only 1 RAM Module installed also solves the game crashes. This would prove to be true after testing the RAM Modules in any slot other than these resulting in the system not booting.
The manual and text on the motherboard itself state you should use DIMMA2 and DIMMB2 first. For reference: The B650-P has 4 DIMM Slots (DIMMA1, DIMMA2 / DIMMB1, DIMMB2).
